Security Design Engineer Department Head

Main Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with clients to understand their unique security needs, risks, and objectives
• Design customized security solutions encompassing access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and other relevant technologies
• Create detailed security system designs, including equipment selection, layout plans, and technical specifications
• Evaluate and recommend security products and technologies based on industry best practices and emerging trends
• Collaborate closely with project management teams to ensure the timely and cost-effective implementation of security solutions
• Conduct risk assessments and security audits to identify vulnerabilities and provide mitigation recommendations
• Stay up-to-date with the latest security technologies, standards, and regulations to maintain the highest level of expertise
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, installation, and support, to ensure successful project execution
• Provide technical support and guidance during the installation and configuration of security systems and solutions

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is required
• Proven experience as a Security Design Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of experience in designing and implementing security solutions is mandatory
• In-depth knowledge of security technologies, including access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and fire detection systems, is essential
• Strong familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to security is necessary
• Proficiency in using design and analysis software for security system planning is expected
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills are required
• The ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate effectively with clients is essential
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM) would be a plus
