Nawakara’s Emergency Response Team (ERT)
Nawakara’s Emergency Response Team serves as the frontline in addressing flood disasters. Equipped with specialized knowledge and skills, this team responds quickly to emergency calls, provides evacuation assistance to victims, and escorts them to safer locations.
As of now, Nawakara’s Emergency Response Team consists of 34 members certified by the National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas). This team possesses excellent coordination and communication abilities with all stakeholders in Indonesia.
In 2022, Nawakara became the only Private Security Service Company (BUJP) mandated and officially appointed by Basarnas to conduct Search and Rescue (SAR) training for external or public individuals, leading to certification from Basarnas.
All personnel in Nawakara’s Emergency Response Team are trained to handle various evacuation processes, including but not limited to flood evacuation, fire evacuation (due to smoke impact), forest and volcanic eruption evacuation, and riot evacuation.
Evacuation Process
When water levels rise, and the threat of floods becomes imminent, Nawakara’s ERT plays a crucial role in the emergency response chain. With ERT members ready to be deployed to disaster response locations, Nawakara provides a holistic solution to minimize the impact of disasters.
In the evacuation process, Nawakara’s Emergency Response Team typically performs two main tasks to assist victims. Firstly, emergency evacuation involves moving people from potentially hazardous locations to safer places, such as safe houses or hospitals. Secondly, security escorting involves ERT personnel accompanying accident/disaster victims to reduce anxiety and maintain calmness during the journey to a safer location.
