Some of the roles and responsibilities that cannot be separated from the Security Personnel are being a static officer/guard, conducting patrols/patrol officers, and as a team that must respond quickly when there is a security vulnerability or emergency.
Security Personnel who serve as static guards play an important role in maintaining company security. The presence of static officers/guards at the doors or accesses in and out of the company will provide a sense of security for employees and company visitors. It will also make people who are not interested or have bad intentions think twice if they want to commit a crime.
In addition to acting as a static officer/guard, Security Personnel must also be able to carry out patrol duties. Regular patrols are needed to ensure that all company assets are well maintained.
And the last role is as a response team. Security Personnel must be able to respond to every emergency that occurs and mitigate similar incidents so that they can be handled in the future.
To support the implementation of their duties, one of the things needed by the Security Personnel is a patrol vehicle. This vehicle is used to facilitate the mobility of Security Personnel to be more effective and efficient in their duties.
The selection of patrol vehicles must also be adapted to the situation and conditions in the field. For mining areas, for example, patrol vehicles must have special specifications that are adapted to the characteristics of mining areas that have rocky and soil landscapes. Unlike the case with factory areas in urban areas, the patrol vehicles needed are vehicles that are usually used for flat and paved landscapes.
Along with current technological developments, patrols can also be carried out using equipment that does not require a crew. Security Personnel can use Drones to patrol areas that are difficult to access and have a large area to streamline patrol time without losing vigilance.
Various security threats and potential vulnerabilities make Security Personnel must receive training to deal with them. The main training needs, of course, are mandatory, such as Gada Pratama, Gada Madya, and Gada Utama. In addition, if needed, Security Personnel can also be given additional training in the form of hard skills or soft skills tailored to the needs of the company or Security Personnel.
Good training for security personnel is continuous training and refreshment is carried out regularly. This is done so that the capabilities of the Security Personnel can be measured and trained. Drills or simulations need to be scheduled and implemented to ensure the readiness of Security Personnel and to demonstrate the results of the training that has been carried out.
